TERMS AND CONDITIONS
  • All items are offered subject to prior sale. Orders will be dealt with strictly in the order of receipt. 
  • All prices are given in, and payable in, British Pounds Sterling.
  • All prices are nett.  Prices do not include postage or insurance, which will be quoted separately, and will vary depending on the service required.
  • Trade discount will granted only to bona-fide dealers who offer a reciprocal arrangement.
  • The preferred method of payment is by direct credit to my London account, and the account details are available on request. Alternatively, payment may be made by cash, personal cheque, travellers' cheques or bank draft, all drawn in sterling.
  • We also accept payment by Visa or Mastercard, and require the following information: Card type and card number, expiry date of card and full registered address of cardholder (particularly if different from the mailing address).  Written or faxed confirmation of your order with this information (in addition to any e-mail order) is required as security, and no order will be processed until this is received.
  • We reserve the right to issue pro-forma invoices to customers not known to us.
  • All items sent out are deemed to be sent on approval.  Should any item be unsatisfactory - for whatever reason - it may be returned for a full refund, provided that we are notified within seven days of receipt, and the item is returned, properly packed and insured at the sender’s expense, in the same condition as received.
  • Full title to all items does not pass to the purchaser until settlement has been received in full.


CATALOGUE DESCRIPTIONS

CONDITION
  • Unless otherwise stated all items are guaranteed to be original, published at about the date specified.
  • Dating: where two dates are given, the first is the date of the original publication of the map, and the second the date of printing of the example being offered.  If a date cannot be accurately established, a circa date is given.
  • Each item can be assumed to be in good condition, bearing in mind the imperfections of early material. Care has been taken to describe more serious imperfections, and these may generally be over- rather than understated.
  • All measurements are first give height by length of the outer engraved border and then the platemark (PM) 
  • Colour: The colour of all items is described.  All judgements are the matter of informed opinion, but the following conventions are used: black and white (uncoloured), original colour (full colour applied at or about the time of printing), original outline colour (colour applied to highlight boundaries, and so on), later colour (colour applied subsequently, and generally in modern times.
  • It should be noted that is our firm policy not to colour maps.
